9 Facts You Need to Know about Makeup
When you want to create an image that is long lasting, then you have to know the secrets that are kept by the mighty ladies who always look their best. And by the way they just spend a little time and their efforts usually pay off as they get that favorable attention everyone looks for.
Whether you are going out on official functions or it is simple a social gathering you can always catch someone’s eye. These are some of the things they observe which you haven’t known.
1) REMOVING A CONCEALOR
When the concealor gets into any lines it shouldn’t they dip a cotton swab in eye cream and just run it over the area. They have also learned that they can tint their own blend by mixing concealor with moisturizer and use just around anywhere on their face as it blends easily and gives the skin that perfect look. When your concealor runs out in the middle of your application you can use makeup that collects at the foundation of the bottle as it is somehow thicker and is good enough for covering up any imperfections.
2) BE A MASTER OF DISGUISE
Incase you have a concave scar you can disguise it with concealor that is just slightly lighter than your skin shade. By using a specialized brush fill in the center of the scar without going over the edges. Choose one that matches your skin color if the scar is raised above the rest of the skin and just put it in place using the tip of your finger. Allow it to dry then apply some light powder on the area. If your skin is African American and you want to even it out use some foundation that is lighter on the areas of your skin that are more pigmented such as the forehead and then blend well at the temples and the bridge of the nose.
3) TAKING CARE OF FOUNDATION
You can prevent your foundation from getting to settle into fine lines by applying a foundation primer and a moisturizer. For your foundation you can use a latex wedge sponge to avoid streaking. Do it ever so gently in a circular motions finishing with simple downward strokes as this flattens those tiny hairs on your cheek.
4) GET THAT SUBTLE SHEEN
You can give your skin that soft glow by mixing just a little bit of highlighter with foundation in your palm before applying. If you try this trick and add a drop of bronzer you will get a darker shade of foundation. Ensure the powder does not end up in lines by pressing and not wiping into the face with a velvety puff and get a nice fluffy brush to wipe off any excess.
5) PROPER BLUSHING
Applying some blush after the foundation will brighten your face amazingly you might not need anything else after that. You can get the right shade to apply by simply pinching one of your cheeks that has makeup and apply it to the plain side to see if your cheeks match. Too light or too dark may not be good enough so you can swipe your cheeks clean with a cotton ball as this wont leave any lint the way tissue does.
6) TAKE A LITTLE TIME WITH YOUR BRONZER
As you apply your bronzer just make sure not to go more than two shades darker than you normal skin color. Sometimes the bronzer can look muddy or dirty, you can improve the look by using a fluffy brush or cover with a few drops of moisturizer. If you skin has been sun tanned then a bronzer will work the trick for you. Apply and then follow with a simple blush on the apples of your cheeks as they will naturally get a pink flush when the skin is sun baked.
7) DID YOU MAKE THE MATCH
To get good results always remember that the correct shade of liquid highlighter leaves only a glow on the skin but does not deposit color. This then means that a silvery pink for fair skin, golden tints for olive skin, and bronze tints for darker skins. To get that soft glow simply smile and dab some little highlighter just above the apples of your cheek and the job is done.
8) TALKING ABOUT YOUR MOUTH
If you want to prevent lipstick from entering the cracks in your lips begin by coating your mouth with some lip balm and let it settle for about five minutes than remove any excess with tissue before putting on the color of your choice. If there is any dead skin on your lips it can be removed gently with a soft toothbrush or a wet washcloth before your wife off the balm. You can turn your ordinary lipstick into a lip stain by applying three coats deep, leaving it to settle foe a few minutes and blotting out with tissue so that only the pigment remains
You can prevent your lipstick from bleeding by dipping a cotton swab in some translucent powder and roll it just outside the lip before you apply any color. Do not put powder on your lips though with the general thinking that it will set the color. It will create one muddy sludge and will actually dehydrate your lips. When you want to add some energy and time to your lipstick simply cover your mouth with a liner that is the same shade with it and not lipstick.
9) WHAT ABOUT YOUR HIGH BROW
EASE THE PAIN: to reduce any pain before plucking or waxing you can take some painkiller such as ibuprofen some 90 minutes before the procedure because it will also reduce redness and swelling. You may also try tweezing after a hot shower as it makes the hairs come out more easily.
PICK UP STRAYS: If you want to tweeze your brows natural sunlight will give you enough light to see all those small unwanted strands better than the light in your bathroom. Also avoid doing it before a magnifying mirror for the danger of overdoing it, naturally.
STAY THE COURSE. Do not simply over pluck the area in between your brows. You can get it right by aligning the brow’s starting point with the inner corner of your eyes.
