You need to be informed that healthy disease free nails will not just happen on you, there are some important tips and steps you can follow to enhance their good health and avoid diseases like nail fungus and many more. Therefore welcome on board and have a great discovery.

Cool weather tips

When the temperatures are falling outside the same thing is most likely happening and affecting circulation on your toes. You will need to keep your toes and nails safe and healthy during those cool times so that everything is just alright.

Get yourself a thick pair of socks so that you keep your feet warm but then make sure they are not too tight as that may actually be a recipe for more trouble.

If you enjoy very active sports like skiing or hiking, choose socks that have some acrylic fibers rather than just wool. Man-made fibers help absorb perspiration better.  Wash your feet and dry them thoroughly everyday. This will prevent infection from pathogens like fungus that thrive in warm and damp environment.  While soaking your feet always use lukewarm water. Never use hot water. Dry your feet well especially in between the toes.  Because you do not want to create room for some unwanted tenants and never use heating pads to keep you feet warm. They can get very hot

While choosing shoes and boots for outdoor activities buy those that will easily allow circulation of blood to the toes.  It is those closed shoes that encourage living organisms to grow and bring forth infections.

If you have sweaty feet ensure that you use anti-fungal powder while working outside for long periods of time. This will prevent nail fungus infection. Fungus can enter through cracked skin. To prevent skin from cracking use a good moisturizer. But do not use it in between your toes as they breed fungus easily.  In winter before going to bed knead your feet gently with your thumbs to increase blood circulation. You can also help your feet relax after a tiring and long day by soaking them in warm water with peppermint oil and some Epsom salts.

Sexy Nails for summer

When it is summer and it’s all bright and hot everywhere you can get your feet breathing by keeping at hand a pair of flip flops or some lovely sandals and at the end of the day you can soak your feet in warm water for about 7 to 10 minutes remembering to dry them well after that. Always use a clean towel and remember to take special care on the areas between your toes.

When cutting or trimming your nails, remember to cut them straight across and once they are completely dry you can use emery cloth to file them. When washing them you cab scrub with pumice under your feet to remove dead skin. Do not pull out cuticles but instead massage them with moisturizer or may be try using some baby oil. If you must deal with cuticles, push them back slowly using an orange-wood stick if you can. You can as well learn to massage your feet with some moisturizing lotion to enhance circulation.  Apply nail polish. Apply a base-coat to protect your nails. Remove extra polish from the sides of the toes. Apply a topcoat after the polish is completely dry. This protects and gives sheen to the nail polish.

These tips may look simple but I can assure you that they will protect you from many nail disorders and promote your overall health at the end of the day.
